Uthman Bin Affan Islamic Senior High

Brief Profile

Uthman Bin Affan Islamic Senior High School was established in 2008 by the Kamgbunli Community in collaboration with other Muslim Communities in the Nzema East, Ellembele and Jomoro districts through the initiative of Sheikh Suleyman Ahmed Mozu, a board member who was then a student in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The project was funded by a Saudi Philanthropist known as Sheikh Faisal while the community members also provided communal labour. The chief and elders of Kamgbunli release land for the establishment of the school project. The school started as a private school in the 2008/2009 academic year with a total enrolment of 68 students made up of 36 boys and 32 girls. It was however fully absorbed into the public school system in the 2011.

The vision of the school is to become and remain a model Islamic school of excellence in all spheres of education and among the best senior high schools in Ghana.

MISSION

The Mission of the school Is to educate and equip students with the requisite knowledge, skills, social and religious values under conducive environment by committed, disciplined, hardworking and wellmotivated staff who render selfless service to the nation.
