Brief Profile
Asankrangwa Senior High Technical School (ASECTECH) was founded on the 28th of January, 1991, as a result of the 1987 Educational Reforms Programme, which saw some of the Experimental and ordinary Junior High Schools being upgraded. The then D/C "B" Middle School was upgraded to the present Asankrangwa Senior High Technical School, which the Education Ministry declared as a Vocational/Technical (VOTECH) Resource Centre, a Centre of Excellence to train the youth in skills acquisition. The pioneer Headmaster Mr. Kwaku Oduro started the school with five students and a teacher, Mr. Joseph Quainoo. They were later joined by two National Service Personnel viz. Messrs. Vincent Agbettor and Dagadu in the old D/C 'B' Experimental Middle School buildings.
