Brief Profile
Mawuli School was established on February 24, 1950 at Ho as a result of joint efforts by the then government of the Gold Coast, now Ghana and the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. It happened to be the first government assisted secondary school in the Volta Region. The school started at Ho-Kpodzi using the buildings and facilities of the E.P. Church Old Seminary for classes. Just one year after its establishment, the colonial government started permanent structures on the vast parcel of land graciously donated by Togbe Gotlieb Adzah Kodzo Glalah on behalf of the Glalah family of Ho-Ahoe. The first headmaster was Rev. Dr. Walter Paul Trost who also doubled as the founder of the institution. The name MAWULI and the school's motto was chosen by the students.
