Accra Girl’s Senior High

Brief Profile

Accra Girl’s Senior High School was established in 1960 as one of the Ghana Education Trust Fund schools. The school commenced on the 30th of September, under the leadership of Miss Blanche Gibson, an expatriate. The population of the school which began with an initial twelve (12) students had within a month increased to forty-two (42) and eventually seventy-fve (75) and fve (5) teachers namely Miss Lena Beale, Miss Mercer, Mrs. Paulina Buckman, Mrs. Irene Darkwah and Mrs. Blanche Gibson.

VISION

To embolden the girls to develop appropriate skills to propel them to be responsible citizens through quality and effective education.

MISSION

To train students to achieve excellent, very high skills that would enable them become disciplined, hardworking and productive citizens.
