Brief Profile

Benkum SHS was established in 1949 by Dr. Alex ansah kofi of Larteh-akuapem and belonged to the ekumide family of ahenease. It was previously called Larteh Secondary School and it was renamed Benkum Senior High School to reﬂect the position of the chief of Larteh as the Benkumhene of the Akuapem traditional area.

VISION

To make the school the most preferred secondary educational institution in the Eastern Region and one of the best in the country.
