Wesley Girls' Senior High

Brief Profile

Wesley Girls' High School was established in 1836 with 25 girls by the wife of a Methodist minister. The school is an educational institution for girls and was named after the founder of Methodism, John Wesley.

VISION

To provide a holistic and quality education in partnership with stakeholders to produce God-Fearing, well-balanced, disciplined and self-confident individuals capable of taking the challenges of a fast-changing world in their stride whilst making the most of every opportunity for self-development and service to humankind.

MISSION

We strive to achieve this mission by:
  1. Creating a propitious environment for the spiritual and moral development of each girl.
  2. Providing what it takes to attain and sustain the highest academic standard.
  3. Putting in place a framework in which each girl can develop to the full, the talents with which she may be endowed, while respecting those of others.
  4. Developing in each girl the capacity for quick, reasoned responses to challenges.
  5. Developing in the individual an awareness of her responsibilities to the community and the broader society to which she belongs .
  6. Provide the necessary framework that exposes each girl to the Ghanaian / African cultural background.
