Swedru Senior High

Brief Profile

Swedru Senior High is the first Ghana Educational Trust (GET) School established by the first President Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah in 1959. The school was founded by the late Joseph Essel in 1959 as speed writing Secretariat. It was taken over by the Government in 1967 and moved to its present site in 1975 as Swedru Senior High. The school is located on the Swedru-Bawjiase highway in Swedru.
