Brief Profile

Obuasi Senior High Technical School, formerly known as Government Secondary Technical School, was established in November 1965 as a boys’ school with an initial enrolment of 33 boys aegis of the Ministry of Education. Girls were introduced into the school with the inception of the new educational reforms. Obuasi Senior High Technical School used to be a sixth -form school till the old system was phased out. The site for the school was given out by the Ashanti Goldfields Company Ltd now AngloGold Ashanti, from her land concession. This kind gesture, no doubt, began the long - standing cordial relationship between her and the school up - to - date.

To be the preferred trainer of students to eﬀectively and efciently use their heads, hands and hearts to be useful to themselves, the school, and the society as a whole in the future.

MISSION

To create an enabling environment to facilitate effective and efficient teaching and learning, ensure that students are supplied with the relevant teaching and learning tools, equipment and materials; recruit qualifed and hardworking and motivated teachers all in a bid to producing the right minded young manpower to serve the country and humanity.
