Brief Profile
Al - Azhariya Islamic Senior High School was an initiative of Sheikh Mohammed Kamil Mohammed. It was started as a private institution in 2003 using the basic school classrooms.The school started with eighteen (18) students and the first headmaster was Mr. Ibrahim Musah Munah.The construction of a new block for the school started in 2005. It was financed by the Islamic Development Bank. The first phase was completed and school moved into it in 2009.The school was absorbed into the GES public school system in the 2011/2012 academic year with a student population of 39. The real motivation behind its establishment is to provide secular western education with a blend of islamic training.
