Brief Profile
Adu Gyamfi Senior High School is situated at Jamasi, on the Kumasi Mampong road, about a kilometer on the Jamasi Apaa road. It was established as a private institution by Jamasi Presbyterian church in 1968, with student population of 80 with Mr. E.K. Sarpong as the first headmaster. It was initially known as Presbyterian secondary commercial school (PRESCO).It was absorbed into the public system in 1974. The school used Presby Church as its classroom and later moved to Opanin Sekyere's house. Opanin Moses Sarpong, Opanin Kwabena Agyei and Madam Akua Akyere voluntarily offered their pieces of land for free. In 1974, it was absorbed into the public school system and its name was changed to Adu Gyamfi Secondary School.
