Brief Profile

Serwaa Kesse Girls' SHS is one of the few Government Girls' School in Brong Ahafo. The School which is located at Duayaw-Nkwanta is a home to all girls in the region and even beyond.

The institution under review was established in 1965 as Women’s Training College by the First President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. It was later converted into a mixed secondary school on 15th August, 1970 as Duayaw-Nkwanta Secondary School. The school was then converted to a model Girls’ Senior High in 2003 and re-named Serwaa Kesse Girls Senior High School after the First Queen Mother of Duayaw-Nkwanta Traditional Area.

Its motto is "Okyena nkunim firi nnɛ" translated as "Tomorrow's success begins today", meaning to be more responsible citizen in future, it must begin from SEKESS today.
